Tales was the directorial debut of Basel based artists Lukas Stäuble and Robin Elias Nidecker as collective echo. In the 2 hour performance we discovered the club as a place of stories—a space where people lose themselves, find themselves, forget, and remember. We were interested in what happens between the beats: the little dramas, confessions, and longings that circulate in nightlife. Interviews, music, and bodies gave rise to a performance that does not imitate the club, but rather makes its narratives audible and visible.
